Next Sunday, June 26th 2006, the second International Oldtimer Meeting will be held at Schwägalp – Säntis. The Klausen Race Organisation will be participating with some top-flight race cars and motorcycles, amongst them a Maserati 4CL and a Bugatti 35. These beauties will be exhibited on the most prominent spot of the Schwägalp in front of the magnificent panorama of the Säntis. which is a good reason for an excursion to the Säntis! On the Schwägalp you will find additional vehicles and information on the Klausen Race Memorial 2006. A visit to the stand of the Klausen Race with new accessories of the Klausen Online Shop certainly is worthwhile and will be appreciated. From official side the Klausenrace Memorial is patronized by the two cantons Uri and Glarus which enhances the cultural and touristy importance of this event and gives it cantonal significance and international importance.

A press conference was held on September 28th, 2005 in the Grand Casino Lucerne where the Organization Committee Klausenrace Memorial informed the media about the progress of the 4th International Klausenrace Memorial. At that time the Klausenrace Memorial Poster 2006 was presented. The poster was created by the artist Andrew McGeachy, who was inspired by the historical Klausenrace posters of the twenties and thirties.

The registration has successfully begun; everyday the Organization Committee Klausenrace receives entries from all over Europe and overseas and it is confident that an exquisite field of cars will drive the 21,5 km long track of the Klausenpass. So far more than 100 racing- and sports cars as well as 90 racing bikes with and without sidecars and racing trikes have been entered for the competition.

The official poster for the 4th international Klausen Race Memorial 2006 is in the making! Andrew McGeachy, a Scottish artist and car designer who lives in Switzerland, presented a number of promising drafts. The poster 2006 will follow the tradition of the historical posters of the twenties and thirties of the last century. The Organization Committee of the Klausen Race is delighted to be able to present the new poster to the Klausen Race Fan Community soon. A limited amount of hand-signed and numbered prints of the poster will be available.

A spontaneous idea came to life on June 16th 2005! The Organization Committee Klausen Race has acquired two Klausen-Smarts from their designers. Hans Egger (Snow Driver School Linthal/Tierfehd) and Urs Heer (Photo Studio Glarus) in cooperation with WAM AG, Glarus, have created the two Smarts. The two agile sporty cars with exclusive photographs of past Klausen Memorial Races are real eye catchers. The excitement about the 4th International Klausen Race Memorial from September 21st to 24th 2006 has become greater than ever before. The Organization Committee Klausen Race expresses its sincere thanks to the involved persons for their support and for the excellent outcome.
